Fulltime Roles

Driver/Warehouse Assistant

HOURS:  Working hours will vary.  Standard day 8.30am – 5.30pm but there will be days where early starts or late finishes will be required depending on that day’s event schedule.

LOCATION: Isleworth TW7, Greater London

SALARY:  £19,500-£20,500 depending on experience

BENEFITS:  24 days’ holiday, optional private healthcare, contributory pension, excellent record of internal promotion and management structure that encourages innovation.

ROLE:  The Driver/Warehouse Assistant assists and supports the Logistics & Warehouse manager based in the Isleworth warehouse, as well as the team of technicians.  The fulltime and freelance technicians support all AV and interpretation equipment needs for a range of live events.  These events vary in size, duration and location but the majority take place in greater London.

The main function of this position would be to drive the company vans to/from the warehouse and onsite events, support all technicans and the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

Key Reponsibilities:

  • Drive company vans to/from onsite events in Greater London and/or further locations
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment
  • Assist Warehouse Manager in all equipment prepartion, testing and management as well as hiring additional equipment, vans, etc.
  • Assist with equipment testing and prep for dry hires and courier pick ups
  • Assist with warehouse maintenance and operation
  • Manual handing and lifting of equipment is required

Essential Skills:

  • Must be located within 20 minutes driving distance from Isleworth warehouse
  • Must have valid UK driver’s licence with at least 5 years of driving experience
  • No more than 3 penalty points on driving licence
  • Experiencing driving in Greater London especially helpful
  • Experience driving larger vans would be beneficial 
  • AV Equipment & Event experience would be beneficial 
  • Ability to handle heavy & large equipment in line with manual handling operation legislation
  • Quick learner with willingess to learn new skills
  • Excellent attention to detail; 
  • Able to take a proactive approach to problem solving ;
  • Ability to work efficiently on multiple tasks at one time;
  • Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently while providing support in a team environment;
  • Punctuality and reliability;
  • Self-discipline and enthusiasm

Translation Account Manager

HOURS: 40 hours/week; 9.00am-6.00pm 

LOCATION: Central London SE1

SALARY: £23-25k OTE depending on experience

ROLE: Ubiqus has been established for more than 20 years, with offices around the globe and our headquarters in Paris.  We work with over 90% of the FTSE top 100 supporting over 20,000 meetings every year.  We are recruiting a Translation Sales Executive to maintain and continue our impressive growth. 

Your main reponsibilities as a Language Service Manager at Ubiqus: 

  • Manage a portfolio of active clients and work as a team with our production team
  • Build a strong relationship with current accounts (through outbound phone calls) to generate business with new departments, ask for referral making contact with senior-level decision makers
  • Deal with incoming enquiries, preparting quotations as necessary 
  • Working primarily over the telephone but also occasional in person meetings and presentations to new and existing clients 
  • Using a range of techniques and tools (including targeted emails and brochures) to introduce and promote solutions to current clients. 

Training on sales techniques and company services will be provided 

Your Profile: 

  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in sales as an Account Manager in a Translation agency or as a Project Manager handling clients in a translation company
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with results driven mentality
  • Of graduate calibre, willing to learn and become passionate about the company’s products
  • Excellent communicator with demonstrable ability to understand and explain complex ideas
  • Fluent in English, at mother-tongue level 
  • Hardworking, dedicated, flexible & friendly; we are looking for people wiht the ability to lead the business into the future.

Account Manager

HOURS: 40 hours/week; 9.00am-6.00pm

ROLE: Ubiqus is an event reporting and language service provider headquartered in Paris with offices in London, throughout Europe and North America.  The UK division works with over 90% of the FTSE 100 and supports over 20,000 high profile meetings and events every year.  

Ubiqus provides event reporting and language services for our clients’ most important meetings. We are looking for talented individuals to join our sales team.  This is an exceptional opportunity for bright individuals at an early stage in their career to own senior client relationships with FTSE 100 companies and public sector organisations.  You will gain exposure to key company and industry events and learn how to expand your footprint across an organisation.  Training on sectors and company structure are a key part of our account managers’ development and ou will be responsible for both business development and account management from day one. 

As a Ubiqus Account Manager, you must be: 

  • Experienced in consultative selling and management of a portfolio (at least 12 months) 
  • Able to drive the business through business development, both on the phone and at meetings, with a proven track record.

  • An excellent communicator, with demonstrable ability to understand and explain complex ideas

Ubiqus’s language services are to produce written records of meetings, conferences and events; to translate content into a number of different languages and to provide interpretation for live events.  The prospective candidate will be responsible for a large amount of interpretation business within their portfolio. 

Your main responsibilities as a Ubiqus Account Manager: 

  • To seek out and find new business within the portfolio through referrals, cross-selling, reactivating inactive clients, business development and targeted marketing 
  • Manage a portfolio of clients by being able to communicate and maintain relationships with senior-level decision makers. 
  • Working primarily over the phone but with the aim to meet and present to new and existing clients in person 
  • To cross-sell Ubiqus’s other services such as Transcription, Translation, Badging and Voting Systems
  • To provide end-to-end job management from point of enquiry, to quoting, negotiation, approval, job delivery annd invoicing 

Product knowledge, sales techbiques and training will all be provided but the candidate must have strong sales acumen along with a high level of commercial awareness.

Freelance Roles

Freelance Writers

Ubiqus sends note takers to attend meetings.  We record the meetings and sometimes use freelance writers to transcribe the audio working from home.  We have a test piece of audio which we will send to each person to complete.  This will be reviewed by our editing team and feedback provided.  

We use both transcription and summary writers, so if you can quickly synthesise information into concise summaries, we would be particularly interested in speaking with you. 

Translators

We hire experienced freelance translators in 70+ language combinations to work on material including written documents, audio and video content, e.g. subtitling.  All of our translators have three years professional translation experience at minimum and should be comfortable working with translation technology tools.  You will be educated to a degree level in translation and/or be able to illustrate years of experience completing successful translation projects.  

Transcriptionists

We are currently looking to expand our roster of freelance contractors to perform the service of English Transcription.  The work is part-time and can be tailored to your schedule. 

Location: Work from home.  All duties for this position are to be performed remotely via the Internet. 

Responsibilities

  • Accepting audio of varying lengths and types to produce a verbatim transcript
  • Formatting final transcripts according to project specification; templates will be provided
  • Time-stamping and other document notations as required by individual projects
